Mahindra's next-gen Scorpio is finally expected to have its much-awaited launch in the Indian market. Mahindra has officially teased the next-gen Scorpio as the 'Big Daddy of SUVs' on its social media platforms indicating a market launch in the coming months. Designed to be completely new from the ground up, the new Scorpio will be a huge step up in terms of every aspect. The new Scorpio has a lot riding on its shoulders considering how popular the current one is despite its age.
The all-new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will get a completely new design. As seen in the teaser, the SUV will boast LED projector headlamps as well as LED fog lamps with C-shaped LED DRLs placed on the housing. There will be several new design enhancements to make the Scorpio look more appealing than before.The next-gen Scorpio will also get a completely revamped interior. The SUV will get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech, an electric sunroof and features like wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control, drive modes, a 360-degree camera, etc.The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will receive the same powertrain as seen on the XUV700. This includes a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine seen on the XUV700, albeit with a different state of tune. The engine options will come mated to either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox options along with rear-wheel and four-wheel drive trains.The next-gen 2022 Scorpio upon launch will lock horns with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, and MG Hector.
